For my mother

I wish I could create, just as you did

complex worlds you laid right by my restless feet;

I wish I could color all the noises in your dreams;

Or cry forgotten tears into beams;

I wish I could undo

Every concern you had about my heart

I wish I could glue back my soul into your heart;

I wish I could reach out and take the sun

Only to braid its rays into your hair one by one;

I’d wish to live a thousand lives to love you every time

To stroke your ears with my silly little rhyme;

And yet no wish will ever apprehend

All I wish for she that is my blessing , my mother, my best friend.
